Cocktail Lounge at Kata Nori Hand Roll Bar

For Kata Nori Hand Roll Bar—the first hand roll–focused concept in Kansas City—the cocktail lounge needed to reflect the same level of care and craftsmanship as the food itself. The goal was to create a space that felt natural to the concept: modern, intimate, and welcoming.

Inspired by the restaurant’s sleek, chef-driven approach, the lounge was designed to feel like an extension of the dining experience—warm lighting, rich textures, and thoughtful details that invite guests to slow down and enjoy. It’s a setting that supports the service, showcases the quality, and enhances the overall atmosphere without ever getting in the way.
