Thoughtful design for homes and spaces with history.

I’ve always loved historic buildings. There’s something about walking into an old space and feeling its stories that have unfolded within the walls — all the people who’ve made memories there, the craftspeople who layered materials and pasted plaster over lathe, even the slow-growth trees that became those beautiful old beams with their tight rings. I love imagining the kid who once doodled on a floorboard that still shows through just a little, no matter how many times someone has sanded over it. No two homes are ever the same, and I never get tired of that.

In my design work, I especially love breathing new life into kitchens and bathrooms - but am excited for anything single space to a full-home renovation.

I offer the kind of personality and personal touch you only get from a small independent firm. I take the time to really get to know you, and it shows! I’ve hunted down the exact tartan wallpaper to match a client’s Scottish heritage, created custom artwork to honor a childhood family home, and even hidden a few unicorns. Magic is real when our homes embrace us and ground us in who we are.

My own background is all about storytelling. I didn’t come into design the typical way, and I’m so grateful for that. I started my professional career at Sundance Institute, where I worked directly with filmmakers championing and celebrating their work. I spent summers at the Sundance Labs artist-in-residence program, and winters in Park City working the festival, helping to set up filmmakers to literally make their dreams come true. Again, it was magical. I love bringing that same celebration of story and wonder to my clients homes.

And then there’s the practical side of me: my MBA gave me the tools to actually enjoy the budgeting, logistics, and organization that make a renovation run smoothly. Teaching yoga has shaped how I think about energy and how people move through their space. I see my clients as whole, layered humans, the design always works better when it honors that.

At the center of all of it is my mission: to create spaces that help people see the magic around them and within themselves.

I can’t wait to work with you,
Ericka
